The Technology Behind Off-Pipeline CNG Gas
TECHNOLOGY
The purpose of the NEOgas technology is to increase the efficiency in the delivery and dispensing of high-pressure gas (generally 3,600 psi or 250 Bar). This gas is first compressed using traditional piston compressors into standard storage vessels that have been modified to use the Company’s patented liquid push technology. This system uses proprietary fluids in direct contact with the gas in high-pressure vessels to displace the high-pressure gas and dispense it with a minimal loss of the energy used to compress the gas.
NEOgas works to maintain the gas pressure rather than allowing it to drop and then recompress it as other systems do. Greater efficiencies result in three key ways:
- Saving time by dispensing the gas quicker
- Saving energy by using pumps to move liquids rather than compressors to re-compress gas
- By delivering significantly more of the gas transported rather than transporting it back and forth to the compressor station
