Patented Technology to Increase Efficiency
The HPU is a patented technology developed to increase the efficiency and improve the economics of dispensing high-pressure gas. The gas is first compressed using reciprocating compressors into certified storage vessels that have been modified to operate with the HPU “liquid push” technology. These compression stations are often referred to as “mother stations”.
Once the CNG has been delivered to the dispensing site or “daughter station”, specially formulated fluids are pumped directly into the gas transport vessels. This fluid displaces the high-pressure gas as it moves through the gas dispensing system and into a vehicle storage vessel or other high-pressure storage vessel. This method allows for a minimal loss of the energy used to compress the gas.
The NEOgas HPU technology maintains the gas pressure throughout the system rather than allowing the pressure to first drop and then be recompressed. No fluids are allowed to pass through with the compressed natural gas.
